Emulate , how does this work?

Hello, can anybody tell me a clear detail on how does emulate work? From what I heard, it work well on Dodore spell, but seem to not work as good on normal mob spell.

so I wonder how does it effect ? it fix on dark element? or any condition to make it work best?

I m deciding whether I should play THM to use this sub on my warrior class or not.

    And here's the answer!
    Emulate
You assume the Target's elemental resistances.

    I hope this is useful!

Whatever the target has resistances to, you assume them. You get their resistances. Like for instance, Dodore is an earth-based mob, if I am correct, and they use earth based magic. Thus, emulate could be useful for this fight.

This one is actually kind of confusing....
Technically it says "Elemental Resistances" and each piece of armor has elemental attributes and then one blanket "Elemental Resistances" number....
I think it mimics the blanket "Elemental Resistances" stat... which isn't specific to any one elemental attribute

So it should work well on bomb, wipse, pudding, element, and imp too?. Those seem to have high resistant in their element.

I think mobs have their own kind of element. Again I'll use the example of Ahriman: They are earth elemental types of mobs that use earth elemental spells. So, if you gain their resistances which are probably heavy against earth, their magic should do less damage to you. At least this is how I've always used it, but I"m not usually in the front lines of that magic.

Yep, pretty straight forward and easy to understand... You simply assume the targets ele resistances, just like the description says >.> Try not to read into it and overthink it too much, it really is THAT simple xD LoL

Helps on every single mob you encounter each to a varying degree tbh, extremely strong on things like ele's and pure magic users and other such mobs listed above^^

Yeah I don't think it's element specific. Technically you don't assume the target's elemental affinities (it would be pointless to gain earth affinity at a dodore fight because earth points don't protect against earth, water does). You gain their resistance profiles, which like people said is another stat more related to magic defense. That is, you gain whatever the difference between Uraeus and Dodore is. Emulating Dodore is fine because Dodore has higher resistances than you do, but if you could emulate Uraeus at the Dodore fight Dodore'd be doing next to no damage at all. Uraeus has much higher elemental resistances.

I wonder if emulate can make you worse. R50 conj emulating a R30 monkey, then smacking Prince of Pestilence might not be a good idea.
