Also, they use a bow as a harp. That's really cool.

I feel like the only person out there who's okay with Archer transitioning to Bard... though I do wish bards were more, uh.. "bardy"? On topic, I can only assume that there's a use further along in the game where BRD's LB might actually serve a legitimate purpose. I wouldn't be so hyperbolic as to call SE or its developers "lazy" because of a possible purpose not yet served.

My hope is when they add a new job to archer (like Ranger), they rework the Bard to be much more support-focused. Even then I'd rather have a new support limit break than the healing one, but at least the healing one would make somewhat more sense that way.

Just make Bard wield a Buster Sword and use Omnislash.

BRD limit break has saved more than a few shaky Ifrit runs for me. I as WHM usually have to keep people up if things are going badly and can't afford to take the time to charge the LB, whereas BRD can usually afford to lay off the DPS for a few seconds and get the limit going.
The level 2 also saved a Stone Vigil boss run when the entire party was in a bad way and I could not turn my attention from the tank/Esuna-ing.
Also If BRD got the DPS limit break you would probably never see any other DPS classes again.
Bard should have been left alone. I assume it was the Archers in Beta QQ'ing that their Job wasn't a DPS role and thus SE caved.
Current Bards seem more like Rangers with a couple of Group utility CD's.
As far as the Limit Break goes....Bard is still technically Support but more DPS skewing now so I'm fine with it as it stands.

..Would literally flip a table if that ever happened xD.
But to be honest i'd rather have actions combo then change the limit break, but if we really need a dd limit break remove rain of death from our action list and just amp its power up. There problem solved... actually no leave everything how it is, we're dd's with some support and thats expanded on with our limit break.
I've dealt with it
Actually, during beta bard was more like a debuffer and low dps. It was the people QQing that archer didn't do big numbers that changed it to a pure dps. The fact they got rid of the more supportish role in favor if people who wanted to dps, it'd be a different ballgame and the limit break would make sense.Bard should have been left alone. I'd like to see a pure Ranger Job added to the archer class (with classic signature abilities like Sidewinder), ARC and RNG would have DPS Limit Break while BRD could keep the current one to be more of a "support".
