Account hacked what else can I do?

Been getting 3102 error for 12 hours, talked to guildmates again and my main had logged off, so I had them check my alt and sure enough he was logged in and spamming gold selling shit.

I had ALREADY changed my password, so changed it again, added one time password, changed email on account. Tried logging back in and he was still logged in. What else can I do to get him logged out so he loses access to account and I get it back? Surely he cant hack the one time password token can he?

What I did was cancel my account status, waited between 30 min and 1 hour and reactivated it. that will kick him off. (you'll be gil'less more than likely though)

Good passwords and not taking part in powerleveling "services" are keys to success.

I did not take part in any power level, nor have I bought gil, I only have 40k which he luckily did not steal. I swapped passwords this morning when this first started, the only thing I can think of is he had hacked my email account. I added one time password, but that didnt kick him off, changed email accounts, changed passwords again, still didnt knock him off. Had to cancel account to get him off it.

I know people always want to blame the user for doing something stupid, like blaming the girl when she is raped, but I am not technologically ignorant, I have really good antivirus and malware protection, I dont even run my gaming laptop on my home network sharing. I have scanned for key loggers, and not found them. The e-mail is the ONLY thing I can think of that could of compromised me. It is a really old email account, so who knows. Regardless I added the token security, only reason I hadnt done it earlier is because I keep my system so secure, but yeah that obviously didnt help. I have never shared my log in wiht anyone, not even guild mates.

System security does not equal account security. Most people have accounts chained to each other all over the place. Yes I can blame you, the user. No it's nothing like the vulgar, and quite shameful, analogy you used. One weak password can start a daisy chain. These guys aren't using state funded techniques. Either you willingly gave them your login info, most likely as it always turns out in these cases, or have a very weak password somewhere. In the rare chance it's the latter here's some advice. Upper case, lower case, number, symbol, no keyboard patterns, no known words/acronyms/names,at least 9 characters long (16+ is alot better) and no part of your log in in your password. Consider changing your passwords periodically, at least every six months but 90 days or less is suggest. From a domain admin/community rep on another game to you and everyone else out there use it. If you do it takes the time for a brute force attack up by exponentially. Usually the attackers either give up or you have changed your password by the time they breach it.

You probably also have a Trojan virus. What anti-virus software are you using? Run a program to check for malware along with your anti-virus.

Actually, if you look at how many people are getting errors today as a result of being hacked (the rampant 3102 and launcher crashing) it's more likely SE themselves got hacked.

Changing e-mail,password and adding a 1 time pass to account won't knock the active player offline. If they are already logged in the game and the servers just think you're boosting up your account security. Canceling your account then reactivating it is the only way to really boot your character off the game and let you log in.
