    How to get to the Isle of Umbra?

    I was exploring the area around Limsa Limosa, and I encountered the Ferry at the Crystal close to Aleport.

    It gave the option to sail to the Isle of Umbra, but when I chose it the game did not allow me to go.

    How do you unlock the ferry going to the isle?

    That happens to me when I am not ready for an area some times.
    But I do remember that thr ferry man or woman will tell u the reason usually.
    Sorry if this doesn't help but try asking again and see if they say why.

    You'll unlock that area as part of the storyline (somewhere around level 42, if I remember correctly).
