    lol, hire new GM's please..

    Made a ticket for item restore...

    GM replies telling me to reply with the following information

    char name
    item name
    date
    how/why it happened

    Alright, so i click reply... ticket is closed :\

    Make a new ticket, give all that information...

    New GM copy/pastes the same message as the previous GM, asking again...

    char name
    item name
    date
    how/why it happened

    honestly, do they read the tickets at all? or do they look for 1 keyword then paste generic nonsense?

    They are just as good of a customer support as Square-Enix as a whole (very poor). I once submitted a ticket because a player was harassing me and they sent a reply thanking me for reporting RMT gil seller. It's like they don't even read the contents of the ticket but instead are in a frenzy to just copy paste an answer and call it "fixed"

    I have yet to experience anything that warrants talking with customer support, but reading these experiences just makes me sad. How can such a company be the creators of such a wonderful game.

    The job as GM is annoying and brain melting each day hearing the same blablabla, stupid question here (you have no idea how stupid they can get). At some point you just on auto pilot and do this.
    I feel bad, it was a harsh job lol.

    Every single experience I have with SE customer service is just flat out bad. If their games weren't so good they would have gone out of business years ago due to it.

    There is also a difference between being a GM and customer support. GM supports in-game activities and customer support addresses things like log in issues and billing. It was amazing when I was a GM in FFXI the number of GM calls that had to be re-routed to customer support and don't even get me started on the "My account got hacked and I have no idea why" calls...

    I remember back when I was dumb and used the same passwords for everything I did online, someone managed to hack both my FFXI and WoW accounts. I gave Blizzard a call on the phone and had my account back within 15 minutes after answering some security questions. Square mailed me a form letter that I had to wait to receive, then fill out with my personal information, including the registration keys from the game's years-old instruction manuals that nobody kept after redeeming the codes for their PlayOnline ID. Then they had me take the form to a notary public and pay for notarization before mailing it back in and allowing time for processing. Waaaat

    Lol yea, I got hacked once in WoW because I used the same e-mail as I used for too many other things. They restored all my stuff in less than 2 days, and I made a brand new email account I would only use for MMO's. Even people with security tokens got hacked in wow, so whoever was doin it was damn good.

    I'm willing to bet SE doesn't even back up characters at a decent point. The last backup is probably final save, november last year lol.
