Gil Spam is unbearable at this point

I swear SE is getting paid off by these gold selling site, on top of selling account information n shit. I wouldn't be surprised one bit. This is highly disruptive to game play and social aspects and these scum sucking parasites need a good ass whooping.

Doubt they sell account information becouse that just gives them 1000x more work with whiny customers. But what they dont do is ban area's where these spammers come from. They just ban their account and let them get another one. Becouse that is a constant stream of money comming in from gil sellers.
So most companies try to find a way to balance the spam and not ban people to fast becouse then the gil sellers might leave and they lose their steady income of cash.

They don't buy the accounts they use to spam these messages, they use accounts that they have stolen so they have nothing to lose, when the account they are using gets closed down they just move onto another stolen account.

Anyway I don't blame the gold sellers, it's the idiots who buy the gold and pay for power levelling that are the ones who are to blame. Those people are the ones who are personally responsible for all the spam and headaches that are caused in all the games we play they are the ones who ruin the games for everyone else, and if it wasn't for them there would be no spam, so they are the ones who really need to be banned.

Also blame the elitist linkshells that are now selling hardmode content at up to 500,000g a run. For people that are in smaller or less progressed linkshells but are themselves up to doing this content it could be very tempting to buy the gil so they don't have to wait in queues for hours for a run. That a linkshell charges 500,000g a run is just pure greed. They know very few will actually have that amount just sitting there this early in the game.

Just Blacklist them, it takes 5-10 seconds. If you want to do more, Contact support-> report cheat; there is a template there, it takes another 10-20 seconds to complete.

Guess you didn't actually READ this thread? Most the people posting are on PS3 where it is not a simple, easy 5-10 second task. It is actually very time consuming and difficult to do on a PS3.

A not-really-a trick I was told about today to blacklist/report spammers on a PS3:

select, then arrow up to the first spammer name, hit x and pick "send tell". This fills in the chatbox /tell 'spammer name'. hit O and it keeps the /t 'spammer name' sitting in the chatbox, so you can look at it while you are typing your blist and report cheating.

do that for the next spammer until they are all done for that zone. It cut my time spent getting all the RMT blacklisted and reported in every zone down to a tenth of what it was.

One thing I did find out is that while you have your blacklist window open you will see all the spam shouts, even those people you have blacklisted - it's as if the blacklist only works when you aren't looking at it.
