Error 1017 is a progressive raiding Free Company on the Lich Server, our focus is on establishing a position where we can be competitive in the future and provide an enhanced, unforgettable raiding experience whilst working through 8, and 24 person content with the use of three divisions.

The Free Company was founded the day after the server was released on the 4th of September. We are always seeking to improve the Free Company, our core belief is creating a friendly and fun atmosphere where people will enjoy playing in order to become successful with our progression. Our goal and values will stand strong and remain the same, even if our people and environment change over time. We stand strong with a core of long-standing and determined core of leaders and members. What we can offer is not limited to the chance to raid with some brilliant people who love raiding just as much as you. Additionally we provide the general utilities that you would expect from a well functioning progressive guild (Forum, raiding schedule and an active team speak server. The ability to see the games most advanced content, a dedicated management team with the opportunity for each member to voice their opinion).

We are proud of the effort that our members put in, and put a lot of effort and attention into handing applications and expect any applicants to provide a good effort standard when applying. We're seeking like-minded people that are respectful and can hold their own against challenges. Our core consists of a lot of outstanding and knowledgeable players who are seeking to improve not only themselves, but other players around them.

We are actively searching to fill positions for a new coil group. Currently, we need:

2 Tanks: WAR/PLD
1 Healer: Scholar
1 Melee: DRG/MNK
2 Ranged: 1 BRD and 1 BRD/SMN

As this will be a new group, some patience is expected from you while we fill the remaining spots.

Note that most of our players are past the 25 range and focusing on their main discipline, it may proove difficult to find players willing to run group content at those lower levels. I've been with 1017 for about 3 weeks now. In that time we've gone through all primals including titan, got relic wep for approx 15 people and have started on Coil. I definitely wouldn't have been able to access all this content without joining. In addition the atmosphere is great in FC and makes playing this mmo far more enjoyable.

If you decide to apply as a *raiding* member of the FC, I'd recommend asking yourself the following questions:
- Am I willing to use voice-comms, ideally using mic.
- Am I willing to put in the time to gear up quickly.
- Am I willing to be patient both during raids and waiting for places in raids. The current content in 2.0 and specifically the lack of 24-man dungeons makes it tough to have everyone in a raid group all the time. Especially if you're newer to the guild, you may have to wait a little bit before you get regular spot. It won't last forever, but if you would not accept that and be impatient you'll currently have an issue.

Just like to add a quick note on the thread, We're now waiting to start turn 5 in coil, While also looking for tanks!

We could use a few solid players that want to play with a static (8-10 person) team to fill in gaps on vital roles. If any players actually transfer to our little realm, people whom might be seeking a keen and fairly well prepared community that intends to complete whatever the game throws at us, then you are welcome to inquire or apply at your leisure! (We do welcome social members that want an enhanced game experience, although our raiders are the only players that we reserve positions for)

Our first group's keen to get stuck into turn 5 on our next raiding night once the content is re-opened after bug fix's, the second team had some good reinforcements to patch up a short handed tank situation. We're hoping that they can get some good progression in whilst we continue to set foundations for a third group that should be starting the next reset, if not this one.

After a lot of trial and error with decisions of who would be effective in our second raiding squad we have finally got a core group in a good position to focus on content Our third squad should be starting once we map out who wants to be involved with that third team. We have a few keen, apt members that want to be a solid part of that team. Within the next month our aim is to have 3 well-progressed groups that can merge for 24 person raiding. We are welcoming friendly players that might not want to be as involved with raids, or that may want to have a chance to be involved later on.
