Have to do a rollback because my account was hacked. The only thing missing from my account was gil. For some odd reason the hacker left me with 53k. So I have to wait 7-10 days for square to roll back my account which means any progress I make on my character from now to then will just get rolled back.... Most modern MMOs allow you to continue playing without being affected by a rollback. Why does square have to be so archaic in everything they do. Kinda sad when square has upset me more then the hacker did.

As sad as it is, it's sadder people still get hacked now-a-days than it is the process to restore. Usually being hacked ends up being your down fault.

There is a digital version of the one-time password for both phone OS's btw.

What did you do in order to get hacked? I can tell you they didn't sit there and brute force your account because I highly doubt your SE account name is Kakashi Hatake. Even though people will never admit they buy/sell gil or visited the site, they're not just hacking people out of the blue and it would help if people state what they've done lately so we can see if there's some kind of exploit going on, even if it's on a legit FF website.

Well I Google search ffxiv guides for certain info such as crafting or mining locations been lvling culinary and botanist. Also I like to look for news on game so I use the Google news option and search for most recent post. I sopose it could have been one of those sights I visited.

Yeah, good chance it came from one of those sites, a lot of RMT make fake guide sites to trap people :\

o.O You're mad at Square for taking time from fixing everyone's issues (server login) to fix your specific issue, and that the process will take 7 days. It boggles the mind. Get a good anti-virus program, take security measures to protect your account. If you've done all that, I would be thankful that SE is working to help you and your account rather than just perma-banning it like they've done to others as noted in their recent posting.
