Hests aren't equivalent to gear repair sadly, unless you do them with a low level it doesn't help much. And even with the low level the hest Gil isn't that amazing. You CAN do the lower ones naked since they're so stupid easy and make a huge profit if you have enough allowances saved up. Unfortunately unless you're like me and play for days straight and save up allowances before running a dungeon it'll take up days to repair a full set of your 50 gear. And while doing that you accrue fees if you wear any gear aside from just a weapon.
