"people under 50 bragging about all the money they have"
"people at 50 complaining about all the money they lack"
solution: people at 50 sell things to people under 50. yeah some of that get's lost but we don't know if it's gone to the aether or if it determines quest gil gain, or if it's offset by the influx of new users with there bunches of gil.
if you are at 50 and you need a bunch of money, sell things to lower users. you get money, they get HQ stuff, win-win. leave the economics speculation to those who know how the system works.
...and...?
i don't see the problem here...make things people want, get money. go do nothing but raids on dungeons and be in want of money...seems like a fine economy to me.
don't wanna craft, farm items. i have to go out and farm my own HQ diremite webs when i wanna make veleveteen stuff...go kill banemites and get lots of diremite webs to sell to people who want webs and don't want to, or cannot, kill banemite. do this for aldgoat skins and animal skins and animal hides and viscous/acidic secretions and all those things that need HQ of that crafters need.
contribute to the economy, don't just complain about it.
it is speculation, you don't know what happens to the gill taken out for taxes it could vanish or it could be used to drive rewards for quests, the availability of leves with rewards, etc. also you don't know the rate in which money is CREATED. all you know is "i'm broke" market board doesn't MAKE gil, but creating gil isn't that important. an economy isn't: "make and destroy money". it's "exchange money for goods" or even "exchange good for goods" the market board helps the economy by facilitating the exchange of money for goods. high level players can sell to lower level players (and there will ALWAYS be lower level players, don't give me this crap of "oh we might run out of low level players" if that happens we have FAR worse problems)
stop speculating about the gil creation rate and accept that you are broke because you are doing it wrong.
(also, what is with post limits, how do i increase that?)
