Sac pulling incurs less gear damage than fighting through the mobs. You sure all those gear maitenance costs aren't coming from incessant sacpulling?
Just to be sure that's not where the problem lies, not saying there isn't one. If that is the problem I say you earned it, but if it isn't, i'm a little afraid now
Also presumably, aren't leves still a great way to make money?
I like how the two complainers who replied to this conveniently skipped that last point. You sure all those gear maitenance costs aren't coming from incessant sacpulling?

broke? Do dailys, not that hard.
You sir...fail at economics.
Selling stuff on the market...does not create gil. its transfers it to someone else. at a loss to the entire server.
If you sell something for 100 gil on the market...the server takes 5 gil. (5% sales fee) meaning YOU got transfered 95gil, and 5 disappeared forever.
The problem we are complaining about..is there is more gil disapearing forever...then the game is making.
Gil gets taken out of circulation every time
-You sell on markets
-repair
-teleport
-buy from a vendor
etc...
Point is...the "Costs" add up to way more then the playerbase can create. server loses more money then it makes. thats a failed economy.
As you're on my server I'll just say this: It's hard to make money because of all the idiots who undercut constantly and crash every viable market in making money. For example, you could make some decent gil selling Growth formulas...if you can before people drop it by 300-700g.
On newer servers (and I have verified this by playing my main account on one) the economy isn't near as bad because everyone is trying to make money and working their way up, it's the legacy players, and largely the ones who don't really need money crashing the markets on everything for no reason other than to watch the world burn.
There should be alternatives for making money only crafting/gathering is no good, not everybody likes to craft just as not everybody likes to play support classes. i don't like being forced to do something i don't enjoy just to be able to run dungeons and raids.
Use crafters to repair your gear and you won't have this problem. The issue isn't going to be fixed, because there is no issue, so enjoy never playing your original. You just aren't managing your money. Do you spend your paycheck that fast? After spamming a lot of endgame raid dungeon for farming + Titan hard mode relic my gil supply has dwindled to almost nothing and with no good source of income >.< - (5k repair bills btw) I decided to make alts to sustain me some fat checks until this issue is fixed.... a lot of my friends are also down to their last 75k on new server the main problem will soon start on new servers by the end of this week I believe.
Have you been selling the junk you've collected on your way to lv50? I've made a ton of money selling that stuff, there's a market for it because people are lazy.
to add to my last point...since char limits are a thing...
You can make 200-300 gil doing leves.
However after about 8-10 leves...you will need to repair.
5k repair
10xleves @300= 3000gil.
So you just lost 2000 gil.
add on any teleporting cost, or items you guy etc...
Game loses more money to the void, then it puts back into the economy....
Alternatives is what turns currency useless - The alternative is spamming leves and doing quests and selling those allagan coins. SE honestly can't do anything else without destroying the worth of gil and pretty much negate the whole purpose for lopping off a digit to our gil totals from 1.0.
You cant repair other people's gear, you cant gather grade 5 dark matter.
