There are mining/botany leves all of the way to 45, you just need to look in some other towns. =DI think one of the biggest problem is how long it takes to level a gatherer vs a crafter. You end up mining 4 times the mats needed to level a crafter so you end up with a lot more mats, which sell on AH.
Another issue I have found is, you can level crafting really fast using leavequest, but there are no leave quest for gathering past lvl 25ish (miner atleast), so you have to brute force it.

Right now just pushing myself through leves to level mining. Cuz in Odin the prices are ridiculous and i'm not sure that you can sell much - so not worth sacrificing exp/time from leves to just mine. Only time when I do std mining is when i do GC provisioning missions.
The only thing that has sky-high prices is food. Which is stupid IMO, because if i need to re-buff it every 1/2h I have no interest in buying decent food for 1k a peace. Especially if i have heard that you lose more gil at end-game than you are able to earn. Too much gil is vented and too less is given at end-game.
I think that they messed up with the fact that the dung gear is too easy to get, quests give a lot of gear and DoH just are not needed as much.and once you have caped your 50lvl char "you might as well level the rest".
Hope the markets will stabilize. They could introduce rare recipe drops or something like that.. to actually make crafting special.
After 1 or 2 month the market is going to be better ? Yea ~ right. By that time everyone would mostly have 1 disciple of war/magic max + disciple of land max + disciple of had max (Minimum)
And it still can be switch to 1 war/magic + 2 craft just by buying mats and selling em.
Or even just straight up from the start playing as a craft and gather would have max out 3~6 craft + gather minimum.
Think of the competition. Think of where on earth is the money coming from if players are just making money from each other. By that time only place where the game will give "good money" are from the leves.
And that's only 2months in the game.
You say market is going to exploit after 2.1 ? yea, maybe... then every1 would have max out everything and wouldnt need to buy anything from anyone anymore anyway...
Just a really rough prediction...
I'm not sure why people are having problems selling gathering mats. On our server I sell everything I gather if I am not using it. The higher I am, the more HQ lower level stuff I get and that sells nicely. Or I use it to make HQ food items. I do check the market everyday and adjust what I sell that way. If I see someone dropping prices like mad on a item I previously was making gil on I move to another item I see a need for.
On our server DoH outnumber DoL 2 to 1 at least, there is always a need. People need to stick it out, it will all work out in the end.

Yeah, the problem is that crafts are useless so the crafters aren't buying mats because their inventory isn't moving.
