    Battlecraft Leves / Fields of Valor

    Hey,


    How do you feel about Battlecraft Leves?

    I have no enjoyment having my hand held through set paths to complete leves. Each of the starting regions are big but there's nothing to reward or motivate me to fight anything. Where's the adventure?

    What do you think of Fields of Valor?

    I would like to see something of this implemented into the guildleves system. I kinda like the idea not being made to follow a linear path to fight my targets.

    Yeah I kinda wish Guildleves were more like FoV at least those were decent solo and in a party. Guildleve have such a huge advantage to doing them in a party it makes solo not worthwhile at all.

    I would also like to see guildleves act more like FoV, I don't so much mind the "hand holding" but would like to be able to pick up leves at a camp and choose from all the leves for that specific camp.

    I agree that Leviquests are not the best, and that they should not be the only way to level. There should be lots of different ways to level your character, choices are always a great, for any game. A game developer once said (maybe not these exact words, but basically) the moment developers start telling players how to do something is when they start making mistakes. Now the answer is not to replace leviquests, but to add more things besides leviquests. Because players will stick around longer if they can say, I don't want to do this, but I can do this instead so it's ok.

    And one method should not trump the other, because that is basically taking the choice away again. I think they first need to find a way to balance the side quest sp gain with leviquest gain to open up those options, and then start adding more ways to level, that isn't just killing randomly.
