Can't ps3 users upgrade they normal versions to CE?. ( like pc etc )
I suspect not - they are different copies of the game and I have been advised you can't add the CE key to a regular edition even if they are on the same platform. As noted, you will have to pay for the upgrade if you want the CE digital items on your PS3 version of the game. You also won't be able to play your PS3 characters on the PC version, they will be on separate accounts.
just go to the mogstation and click upgrade to collectors edition.

I know you can upgrade through the mog station but it is in some ways incorporated with psn, as in you had to activated your game with the psn promotion code to even play the game. I was able to get a hold of a physical ps3 collectors edition and I am in the same boat. It arrived tomorrow so we'll see.
In principal you can't register two games of the same platform (PC or PS3 - or PS4 later on) to the same SE service account so the answer is - NO. If you're only after digital CE content then use - as already recommended above - digital CE upgrade - works fine on any platform. If you're also after the physical items in CE - Soundtrack (although it's a bit dissapointing as it has only 6 main tracks, was expecting a bit more there), art book, cards and digital token, then get the PC version isntead as you'd be able to add the registration code to your current SE service account. As a "bonus" you'll get another 30 days of free play plus possibility to play on PC as well any time now or in the future with the same characters and progress you currently have on PS3.

There is (no need of) PSN incorporation. The CE items are awarded to your SE service account directly via mog station during purchase of the CE digital upgrade. Once you login into the game (on any platform including PS3) each of your characters will receive the CE items via Moogle mail - the same way as preorder or veteran bonus items. The PSN is not involved in any stage of the redeem process at all here.
Other posts on these forums have suggested that you cannot add a 2nd code to a standard account, such as a PC CE to a PC standard edition - would be nice for confirmation one way or the other.
Plus, the digital upgrade will of course cost you another $20 or so.
Do you even play this game on the ps3!? If you did then you you would know that you need to activate your game with the supplied promo code in the case through psn, ie it is tied to psn for first time game verification. You can\\'t even plan without doing so through psn. The game login process my not be tied to psn but you do need to be logged into psn to even play, but that\\'s not the point. You need to activate your game through psn with the supplied code unlike the pc counter part thus it is tied to psn in some way. Unless you have tried it your self then you have no proof to support your claims.
Yeas I do - thank you very much (on both PC and PS3 actually and - unlike you - I DO know what I'm talking about and I dont' need any "support" for my "claims") - and it works EXACTLY as I've described it. And you should first READ the thread and the post to which other replies before you blure out nonsese like this. My reply if PURELY about applying the digital CE upgrade to the already existing and active PS3 account and it works like I've explained. Now go and sit in the corner to calm down a bit![]()
