How do you beat the lvl 30 main quest the lominsan way with the boulder contest?

At the end he turns into a bomb and self destructs and i dont have the time to smash my rock.

BTW why cant everyone post i every section of the forum just dont get it?

The posting ability is based on your character level. You can't even create a topic outside of here until level 25. By then, you can reply 3 times and post once.

For anyone else curious about this quest, you have to attack the bomb or it will fail. As a Gladiator I don't DPS very fast so it took my two tries to figure out the mechanics of the quest.

Nope - not really - did it on my second attemp with CNJ / WHM using only Stone II - just about half second before bomb exploded

Then I envy you. Even with using Fight or Flight as many times as possible and using level appropriate gear, I was still not making it past the bomb. However you can destroy the bomb fairly easily And go back to whacking the stone while the NPC gives up.
