    Client crash

    Hello,

At Friday I was at instance ( titan ) and get disconnected. After a while I was trying to log in and now im getting all the time "Program not responding".My friend moved my char to city becouse I thought it could be a wrong location. He did it without any problems. Today I re-downloaded game again but still the same. Any suggestion ?

I just made a character on other server (becouse my is full) and it work without any problems.

You need to delete the FFXIV folder in "My Games".. Sadly the keybinds, HUD design and Gear slots are gone then..
Atm I can't log in without deleting the folder every time. I'm kinda screwed.

Deleting that file seems to have fixed everything. Lemme know if that helps, Something though is corrupting it after log out/crashes it seems, but at least it's pinpointed down to that (for me at least).

Good luck I hope that helps! I don't know if it'll save your UI, but it'll save macros because macros are saved in the Macro.dat file in the same FFXIV_CHR<Numbers> folder. I started deleting one by one until I got to control so my UI reset, but hopefully yours saves if you just delete the CONTROL0.dat file. =]

Hmm. It's possible that any of the .dat files are bad and that it might be random across the board. I hope not though. =[

If you're a screenshot junkie then make sure to move over you SS's and your macro's are saved in macro.dat, granted though if it's that file then it won't help
