This might be a bump, so if there is an actual petition thread to implement this, I'd appreciate a redirectlink.

Anyway, just wanted to add that an Inventory sort would be useful, or as someone else said, [similarily to the GW2 craftsytem] there could be a different area all together to shove your materials.
That system works wonders in Gw2, and I never had to worry about stopping what I was doing to drop off 100 mats.
Just a simple right click-deposit collectible.

Even if that specific system can not be implemented, it'd be great to have a sort that would just group your items together by tag. This game has an immense number of different crafting items, and since you end up taking more than one, [or all] there's no reason not to make things easier.
