I know this may be in the wrong area, I'm just looking for feedback from other people who may have encountered this.

Quick question,

I live in Japan, playing FF 14 on a US server, as well as an alt on the Japanese server (just for during the whole 1017 error)

I want to buy Time cards for my account, but their Japanese cards out here. I'm thinking they should work no problem, but can anyone tell me why they might not before I blow 15 whole dollars on a card that might just end up being worthless plastic??

The NA, EU, and JP accounts are all 'Region Locked'. This could cause the code to not work.

I see, I wasn't thinking account regions also, just server regions. I can still choose Japan servers but that is totally different....

where did you buy your game? Japan or US

You need to purchase the time cards that matches the region of your game and SE account so if you have JP account and copy of the game get the JP cards and so on.
