High packet loss during dungeon instances at peak NA times

I noticed frequent periods in Titan fights where the game doesn't update (appears frozen) but I can still move and use abilities etc, only to come back 2-5 seconds later typically dead. I looked into the matter as much as I could on my end. Bypassed router, restarted everything, started running pings while in the instance and found that at least running pings to the instance server (199.91.189.19) was losing nominally 2-5% with peaks going higher.

Normally I would call up my ISP and complain about packet loss, but continuous pings to both google.com and squareenix.com lost 0.0% in 5k tries, recorded at the same time while losing so many to the N/A server.

I am experiencing the same issue. Packet loss most prominent during dungeon and only to the N/A ARR servers.

I did ping for random other games and websites and all came back with no packet loss.

I also performed a passive wireshark NIC capture to see if the source is more obvious there... I will post back when I get a chance to analyze that and there's anything more relevant than dropped ping responses would imply.

I am experiencing the same problems. It's not on my ISP's side. Everything else runs fine except FFXIV ARR.

Same issue, but happens both in and out of dungeons (just more pronounced inside). Don't have issues in any other games like this.

Issue is much less prounounced outside of peak hours.

Had the same experience in Wanderer's Palace today. It got so bad that I ended up with a 90000 error after standing there attacking frozen mobs for over a minute. I tried again later, and died from the slime boss' aoe while all the way on the other side of the room. It's almost impossible for me to do dungeons like this.

Getting solid pings with no packet loss to other sites, just like OP.

Having the same issue on the PS3. I think they just need to do some maintenance on it or something. Its just something SE will fix in time.. hopefully soon

It's worth noting that this issue can have fairly strange consequences... I've had instances where I have an "event" during the time when Garuda or Titan re-appears, and when I resume updates from the server, they never re-appear. I can see animations and take damage from them, but I can't target them and they aren't redrawn on my screen until they disappear and reappear again.
