For those who fear inflation in the game, please remember that an MMO has to have a net inflow of gil. On a new server, all players start with 0 gil. If the game does not have a net inflow of gil to players, everyone would always be at 0 which would make for a rather depressing economy.

I sold off all my allagan pieces of course and wound up with what I thought was good money. Then I started doing dungeons and repairing. I'm broke now.

The point is that these are limited per character. Quests are not repeatable (currently). We know that new players inject gil into the game, the problem is that outside of that, there's not any other ways to build gil. Whoever mentioned FATE's as a way to inject gil is wrong. It cost more to repair you gear while partaking in FATE's, then what you make. That, and Lv50's don't do FATE's outside of seal farming, leveling another class/job, trying to get minions, or Odin/Behemoth.

What we (Lv50's) should be doing is farming dungeons to obtain our Darklight gear to progress through our Relic quest and clear our way into Coil. The problem is that, doing what the game has designed for you to do, is incredibly expensive when compared to how much gil you make per day. Plus, the most you'll find in Lv50 dungeons is pathetic Allagan Bronze Pieces from coffers, which, by the way, most people don't even open since you speed run through it. Having said that, those pieces sell for near nothing when repairs are around 4500+.

Nobody is telling you guys to farm fates for seals and gil, or level up a crafter, or level up new characters, or do craftleves, or any of the other numerous ways we have listed that GENERATE gil into the game.

The beauty of the system is that you high end dungeon runners dont have to participate in those activities thousands of other players leveling up for the 1st time or players making alts or leveling up other roles, etc, etc are doing it for you. I assure you there is a hell of alot more of us then there are of you.

Also quit wearing your raid gear to make money is that such a difficult concept to grasp? Wear cheap level 30-40 gear instead.

If you wanna make money for youself play the market or gather mats for crafters, etc, etc, etc, etc. Like you guys keep saying its two totally different things.

Wearing cheap gear does absolutely nothing against most the enemies I fight and I still have to repair it, It's better to just wear no gear at all. And if I wore that gear into the dungeons I run? Forget it my party would leave so fast it'd be a waste of time.

thats because it is your choice to buy from the vendor or farm them i farm everything i need and i make really good money one the AH. yes getting a job well help but it takes time thats why people would rather spend the gil at the vendor then farm there mats the bitch about not having gil its because you spent it on crafting mats. you can make money you just have to put the time in. well what about the people who can only play for like 2 hours. they can make gil too wouldnt be as much as someone with more game time but they can.

You're saying that making 2-3 lvl 20 items at lvl 50 costs you 1k Gil? Cause that's the reward I got today for a lvl 15 BS leve for 1 item.
I'll sell you the item for 300 since I can't repeat the leve indefinitely. 100 if you bring mats.

Find a crafter, trade your battle-earned craft goods for leve goods, make cash. What's so difficult about that? Use the damn boards if you don't know a crafter.

I'm only level 34 and I have almost 40k gil. No idea what you people are spending it on. It's also obvious no one takes the money option from quests. I make a lot of gil just from taking the money reward from the story line quests.
