South Shroud - Stash Saboteur quest

I've flagged the Stash Saboteur quest from Auphiliot in the Druthers in the South Shroud, but when I go to the quest location, I can't target the three poison stashes in order to use the firepots.

I didn't see anything on this and I'm not sure if it's a bug or just my game or human error.

What worked for me was to access the firepots using the key item list, then select use. Then you'll get a small target dot you can move around. Move that over a poison stash box and confirm. I could never actually target the boxes traditionally either.

If it makes you select an area on the ground it's working as intended.
You gotta use the item manually and move your cursor until the area on the ground becomes red, meaning it will interact with the item/npc/whatever.
It's explained in one of the tips window on the first quest that uses this system.
