I see no reason such an item should be restricted by a cooldown. If someone wants to keep giving square enix money so they can change their character's looks, more power to them. Where is the harm?

since this a P2P game I feel this should be able to be obtained in game.
If not I guess its fine on Mogstation but 20 bucks is kinda steep just for that.
I'm the Bloodgaru Queen.
They should just include them with every Veteran Reward, like I foolishly assumed in page 23![]()
I feel the veteran rewards shouldn't change, or re-occur.
I'd prefer we get it by other means, the veteran rewards are a reward for subscribing, with plans to expand on that in future patches, that would defeat the purpose if it just looped, not to mention the rest of the items are useless.
He means get the regular veteran rewards as well as the potion.I feel the veteran rewards shouldn't change, or re-occur.

Like I posted earlier, if they gave you a potion with your veteran rewards, lets say, 2 times a year, 4 times a year, I could see it being a great gift in your Moogle Mail. you get your normal veteran rewards every month, and then boom, it's that quarterly or half year mark and you get a fantasia as well. would be pretty cool. As far as selling it, I see no problem with that either. It can be an ingame thing, seals seems like the best way as everyone can get seals no matter what level.
P.S. Vanity weighs NOTHING on games, so you cant hold that as a reason why it shouldnt be a dollar item and HAS to be an in game item. fact of the matter is this, we dont want to pay for things to improve game play. that is a definite no. VANITY does NOT improve gameplay. Vanity does not put any weight at all on your game play, so vanity is the worst excuse ive heard in this whole thread on why it cant be sold.
That's because you choose to ignore a major aspect of the FFXIV: aesthetics. If it was League of Legends or Path of Exile, I would agree with you, since those games have 0 focus on aesthetics, they look like sht.(...)

In FFXIV, a hell lot of attention has been put in aesthetics. The aesthetics and the music improves the feeling of playing the game, aka gameplay. Therefore it should not be in the item mall, period.
That is just your strong opinion, thousands would disagree... you can't please everyone, but you can please people without breaking in-game balance. That's because you choose to ignore a major aspect of the FFXIV: aesthetics. Exactly, a service with a cooldown or an off-putting price will keep that consistency.
It's the same for world-transfers, once a high price has been set people think 'Oh, I better do this carefully and think it through', not just "TODAY I WILL MOVE SEVERS AND BECOME A LALAFELL!", there needs to be something to put people off a bit.
You mean like a high price, like stat resets which cost quite a lot of seals? That's still no argument for having vanity in the item mall. You can have it inside the game at a high price.Exactly, a service with a cooldown or an off-putting price will keep that consistency.
