The good news is that as with any other setup of the type, you don't have to. Nor do you need to. It's optional for those who want to do it. just because the option is there does not mean someone is twisting your arm to use it. it is a completely extra service they are offering in addition to the game

I can't think of an MMORPG that offers a complete appearance change for free aside form hair/tattoos/accessories.

FFXIV is the first i've seen doing it for free with a Phial of Fantasia at no-cost for your first month. (Two for Legacy Characters)

I'm missing the point because I know everything.

It's not about getting free stuff, it's about Square-Enix ignoring customer needs and dealing with all the customization options with how limited the Fantasia supply is. You think I wouldn't pay for one right now if I could?

And oh, I guess I can just see what Miner gear looks like on a test character. Or a coatee. Or any Allagan piece.

As far as screenshots go, don't take me for an idiot. I mentioned that because you'd think of all the places you'd want to take comparative screenshots in, you just can't. I shouldn't HAVE to ctrl+PrtSc or Fraps.

By the way, if you come to this thread just to be antagonistic to people trying to add their voice so SE would hurry up selling or finding some excuse to distribute more fantasias: you're absolutely pathetic.
