Sell Fantasia on the Mogstation

On the one hand, the slippery slope principle is a sad truth that people fall for constantly, all the while disgustingly insisting that there's no such thing.

But a highly restricted yet available means of obtaining something like this wouldn't be a bad thing. As suggested prior-no less than $20, month-long cooldown, etc. Enough that the option is available, but no one would ever waste time or resources pursuing it unless they absolutely wanted to.

Besides, Square Enix has a long history of unfinished ventures. They added jack to *PlayOnline after launching it, and all the of Play Arts/Trading Arts/Monster Collections fall grossly short of encompassing as much as they could. In this case, it does them good; if they opened a cash shop with this one item, chances are they wouldn't slide down that slope.

*Granted, PlayOnline was largely unpopular, but I liked it. Several years later Steam comes out and does largely the same thing, and it's a smash hit, but leaves me wary.

It was unpopular because it was hideously slow and cumbersome, those memory constraints for loading in data made it EXCRUCIATINGLY slow.

But back on track, I agree. $20 or in and around would be perfect. Just a simple optional service, no fuss, no frill, nothing extra.

I hope they add a way to make fantasia re useable. Free or some kind of grind in game preferred. Once is not good enough since the functionality is there already... and long cool downs is fine too.

I guess f2p games have ruined me because I have no problem with paying cash for extra things like that. But why a cool down? If I pay 20 dollars every day for one, isn't that good for them?

Most F2P models have restrictions on how much you can buy in one sitting / certain time frame. It's a counter measure against someone who may have access to your account and billing information and bleed you dry.

There's little difference between "character services" and a cash shop. I mean, a bunch of free to play games sell race changes/appearance modifiers in their cash shop. That's not to say I'm personally opposed to it (in fact, I would love for this to go free to play and have a cash shop), but I feel like most of you have been conditioned to just accept things like this.

Sadly for me I already used mine roughly 2 months again and now I want to change
what my character looks like, I asked support but they couldn't help me at all.
I'm a new player of this game and I think I was too quick to try it and now kind of regretting it.
I wish it was possible to get another but idk if people could give away or offer up their Fantasia potion.

I don't want to see people changing every week and whatnot, but if they do, whatever. I won't be too affected. And, truth be told, I'd like to edit my character easily if the impulse consumes me, especially if more races or factions ever come. Hey, on other games, I'd create an alt for the aesthetic changes I want, but since one character can do everything, I'd rather stick with one character. So, I don't see the harm.

Well the good news as it stands you don't and if they do add what I suggest you don't either since you control your wallet.
As stated in this thread many times over many MMO's offer appearance, transfers, and name changes for minimal cost. It is totally optional services which do not give a player an unfair advantage to anyone. Once again you do not have to shell out any cash other than your 15 a month. As it stands you don't get to change anything other than your one month vet reward and/or 1.0 if you received it so you could get 2 fantasia's max free. So adding this service would be a great business opportunity for SE to make more money and guess what they are not a nonprofit organization so its a win win except for you who does not wish to shell out the cash. I for one can easily afford this new mogstation service and would use it. One other point I have read most the posts with in here and you are unfortunately a minority who does not wish to pay for additional services which does not give a player unfair advantage. Sorry but I am pretty sure this service is coming and you will have to spend money or feel as though your not getting your fair share.

The good news is that as with any other setup of the type, you don't have to. Nor do you need to. It's optional for those who want to do it. just because the option is there does not mean someone is twisting your arm to use it. it is a completely extra service they are offering in addition to the game
