If they start selling Fantasia, I think they (either with Fantasia or separately) should do name changes as well, so that users can have lore-friendly names if they decide to switch race/gender (after all, they put quite a lot of thought into naming conventions in the lore and released that information) if they so choose.

I know the feeling. Female Roegadyn was such a horrible mistake. Nothing can compare- nay, not even viera- to the almighty KAWAII that is Lalafell!

Damn! Sorry to hear that. :[

GMs gave me the impression that it'll be restored since it was only 12 days since mine was last used. Still awaiting an official response either via email or in-game mail on their investigation. I even spoke to a GM and she kindly asked me which character that I would like my Fantasia restored to! :O

I'm totally down with the name changes as well. It's highly likely that the name you picked for your current race would not fit your newly designed/fantasia'd character. My surname of Fuzzypaws would be ridiculous on just about every other race :3

I do think though they would need to make the following possible if they allow name changes:

-Have the character's lodestone page display all aliases used in the past
-Make it so that the friendlist/blacklist updates automatically to show the new names (and also maybe show past names used).

The team is still discussing the details around this, but in the future we definitely want to offer more phials of Fantasia as well as something that allows players to change their name.

I hope we can get an ETA soon, I am chomping at the bit to be able to buy me some Fantasias and Name Changes (separate or together) o_o

I also don't understand everyones animosity toward name changes. We know the names are changed on black and friends lists, if you're still hung up about the whole reputation thing the odds of running into that person can be slim to none anyway. And a lot of people appreciate it. @Shaddix in-particular, I just choose to quote you because you said it so short and sweet.
