The difference between paying for a re-customization and "easy mode gameplay" are you serious? there's a fine line between personal preference and difficulty settings, I wouldn't even know how to explain that to you, it's pretty common sense isn't it?

changing how my character looks doesn't affect anyone but me, buying armor affects the world because it gives you an advantage over other players.

One can very much argue, that you have no advantage of interest over other player if it doesn't affect PVP. Why would it matter to you if another player simplifies his pve experience, when you can choose to have it at a "balanced" level? You are not pvping each other.

pretty sure you can expect it to be implemented soon, along with name change, server transfer etc...its standard issue with just about any MMO out there.

It is standard issue for just about any MMO to go F2P as well if it becomes more profitable than P2P. So let's do that too in a year, right?

I think I'll be a bit annoyed at Fantasia being some stupidly expensive Grand Company item. Rather just pay the $10-$20 for it on Mogstation and call it a day.

If the logic is that other mmo's also charge the same fee? Other mmo's also don't strongly guide you into using one and only one character. This isn't like the others.

Or is this your first mmo? After 2-3 years of playing the exact same character with the same looks non stop see how you feel about paying extra for your fantasia. Just wait till it happens These games can go on for a while...

I can tell you what FFXI did, they charged a high price for server transfers on a month long cooldown. As is the standard.

If FFXI were to ever have considered adding an appearance change, I can guarantee they would have followed suit with the other MMO's of it's time and charged for it, and slapped on a cooldown.
