GM call for harassment. Player gets a trip to jail. Simple fix.Hasn't SE learned anything from FFXI? Having aoe from mobs hit anyone even if they were not engaged in the fight is a bad thing. I'm witnessing people kiting mobs that do aoe to nearby crafters or lowbies who might be afk in an attempt to interrupt their crafting or kill them. I lost HQ mats when I changed to my leatherworker to make some leather I farmed when some inconsiderate player yanked a giant frog next to me and it used its aoe and broke my synth. The same player tried it again after I farmed another skin and began crafting. This is griefing and shouldn't be part of the game mechanics.

THIS! I accidentally killed a crafter dodging a self-destruct from a bomb just outside of Fallgourd Float and he raged at me....why are you raging at me for crafting out in the open where you KNOW there are bombs looming nearby...? Darwin award recipients out in full swing.

I had someone purposefully drag a bomb next to me while I was getting Iron outside Copperbell's entrance. Crafting in the fields can be controlled, low level gatherers not so much.

geek, don't reply to those guys, they are either just trolls,or have very little to no sympathy. sometimes even i need to stop in the middle of the forest to get the door or craft something.
there should be a thing that u cant be hurt by the monster unless u tag yourself onto it
Use the report harassment option. Not exactly sure how they would investigate it or prove that said player did indeed kite those enemies for the purpose of griefing you, but I believe it's your only option for action. Although I understand your frustration you have to come to terms with the fact that this is going to happen every now and then if you give people the opportunity.
In regards to reporting the player it may help to take screen shots of the incident and include them in a more formal complaint via the website. This will at least give them something to go on, but again its more likely than not the damage will be done and not will be done about it.
You don't have to teleport, you just have to get to a sanctuary area which are in every zone. You wanna craft where monsters are, you take the risk and it's your fault for not getting someplace safe. Stop being lazy and take the 20 seconds it takes to travel to a sanctuary. I don't see the need to sympathize for those who think "I need to craft this item RIGHT NOW!! IT CAN'T WAIT!!!" then getting pissed when something bad happens due to your inability to get someplace safe.

if they just could make us invulnerable while crafting, all would be good.
Yeah that wouldn't be broken for quests or anything... Just run a area to get to the location you want and any time you're aggroed, just start crafting. Zantetsuken from Odin? Just craft right before he casts it, no one dies. This is a horrible idea.

I was pretty sure you weren't allowed to change equipment, let alone weapons, in the middle of a battle anyway. As long as that were true, the previous suggestion would be perfectly valid.Yeah that wouldn't be broken for quests or anything...
