And boy was it a ride once we got to the end boss. First came the stone face adds that popped out. Okay, no biggie. I know to lure them to the squares and kill them there... Except the black mage dps kills the things before I can fully lure them over. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or not (seeing as how he had prior knowledge of the temple), but we got swarmed and killed. So when we all die he says to kill them on the squares--which is pretty obvious, seeing as how you had to do that numerous times just to get to that point.
And then comes the blaming of the Tank (Me running my Warrior). The first warning sign was when he says "whoevers job it is to grab their agro needs to kill them on the squares." So rather than argue with him, I just let him pull whichever ones he could and kill them himself. We get past that part and onto the phase where adds spawn the protective shell around themselves. I noticed that said Black Mage DPS was standing on the opposite side of the room from it.
Now I know I am not a DPS. I don't want to be. BUT if the DPS isn't anywhere close to doing their job, I will pick up the slack to compensate. I end up doing this three times and killing them by myself inside of said box. So cool, we're past that phase and onto were mega-deathbeam-to-the-face-in-large-number adds start spawning. At some point, the boss cast paralyze and my brutal swing didn't go through in time and it hit the white mage... sooo when those beams came, she was paralyzed and got kamehameha'd in her face. It happens, not the healer's fault. So...when we die....:
So... at this point we're as good as dead. Okay, things happen right? ...Except now. It's the fault of the tank. And why?
<DPS>"Why are you going in to kill the staves as tank?"
<Me> Because you aren't.
<DPS 2> Let the dps get them
<DPS> Indeed, and if you go there then the boss is untargetable as well. Leave it to me and DPS 2.
<Me> I have no issue with that plan, but if you don't get to it in time, we're in deep. Stay on top of it and I will have no issue with staying out of it.
<DPS> Just, don't go in there.
<Me> Okay, whatever.
<DPS> You can't be healed while in there and you don't have the DPS to kill them alone.
<Me> I've healed myself while in there. (A combination of Convalescence, blood bath, berserk, strength potions, and a complete strength dump into my stats on level ups) And I've killed three of them. So... what are you talking about? o_O
<DPS> And while you're in there rest of us haven't been able to do anything.
<Me> Then get to it and do your job. I shouldn't have to do your job for you.
<DPS> Yeah, you don't, but you assume you have to
<Me> Urgh. Whatever. Lets just do this. Just do your job and stop whining.
<DPS> F*(k off dude!
What I find funny is his complaining about something that ultimately didn't cause our downfall. As the healer got creamed by unfortunate means/really bad luck/my brutal swing not coming out in time. Which, when I think about it I am completely fine with taking the blame for that one.
I am 100% for team work and getting the job done right. No issue there, but if a team member is slacking I will pick it up. Not because I think I am better, but because I think it needs to be done for the success of the group. Every member of the group is vital and no one is more important than the other. But you shouldn't jump down another's throat about doing their job if you can't do yours right.
I guess the moral of this story is the chill out, do your job and everything will be fine and stop blaming others for a bad situation in dungeons. Which--could sound hypocritical, but honestly I wasn't even ticked at what he was doing. Honestly I was just trying to help, and it worked. But, eh I guess.
