If you Fate grind your main job to level 50. You gonna have a very bad day. Being level 50 won\\'t make you Story quest or dungeons easier. Always do the story quest for main job first then fate grind.
Fate grind = no skill.

Which is why you do FATEs on jobs after you finish the MS with one job. Wanna learn to play the job? go to a low level dungeon and slowly work your way up
I seen my fair share of healers and Dps who take more hits then tank. They still can be proud to say they are lvl 50 by fate grinding.
I did FTAE grinding so I COULD do story quests with my new job. There are not enough quests to level u to story required levels. Jusf as well doing any other method of level I g is mostly solo anyways so it doesn't add to skill/experience training. After u hit 40 its all basically just the same stuff u did as a lower level. So nothing g new learned.
I got to 46 by doing main story and dungeons.
I'm now gonna get to 49 using FATEs because it's faster and I can't progress with story till I have those levels.
Why should I do the same dungeons over and over that I've already healed a ton of times.
FATEs are faster and will allow me to continue the story sooner.
FATEs were added to give people another option to level up and that's what they're being used for. Nobody is asking you to play with those people.
I'll jump into a Fate if I just happen upon it, but grinding Fates is something I'm simply not going to do. Between quests, leves, logs, hests, and dungeons, I have plenty to keep me playing. Are they all slower than Fates? Sure. But grinding Fates the way I see so many people do would kill my interest in playing very, very quickly. Variety is the spice of life.
I did quests and dungeons all the way up to the 34 story quest with my Arcanist. I didn't do a single Fate with her. But, when my husband told me that he was going to start playing soon, I immediately stopped all story quests/regular quests. I didn't really know what else to do, so I started leveling my Archer and fell in love with the class.
Keeping my promise to do the story quest with my husband, I Fate grinded all the way to 50 on my Archer. I can honestly say, I HATE questing. Coming from a game that was grind heavy you learn to like it or deal with it. I personally love grinding and Fates were perfect for me. People can call me a "noob" for still being on the level 34 story quest, but I don't care. I know how to play my class and I made a promise to not continue it without him.
Fate grinding is no different than grinding leves.
Quests won't take you to 50 so you have tu supplement the exp some how and fates make the most sense.
no but it will get you to 50 faster for end game content (of you're DPS)
