Dps not moving out of the bad stuff means the healer has to heal them which means i'm not getting healed which increases the chances of me going down. A good dps will be just as aware as the tank/healer.Also that person/people claiming dps have responsibility equal to the tank or healer, really need to learn some perspective. It's so easy to be a bad Dps and get by because the tank + healer carried you, it will almost never happen the other way around.
Wtf 1k char limit?
I never really liked this little mantra for new players. Don't get me wrong, I know it'll teach new players basic trinity rules. It works when you have a stock mob with no abilities and an aggro meter, but the moment you start adding in mechanics it's more complex than that. "Why we wiped" takes more investigation than asking, "Who died?" Maybe it's an unfounded fear, but I think that some people get the wrong idea and go in with that shit like it's gospel.
For what it's worth, I'm a reformed healer playing as a tank.

I do love how most of the people saying that healing and all of that is faceroll and easy are low level healers who have yet to try a real challenge.
I never let a DPS die even if they are at fault, I'm not that kind of person, I struggle through it. and if they still die, 90% of the time I feel bad about it and then I get the normal "HMM" and "wtf"s
which in turn makes me even more stressed out, causing more mistakes (I suffer from anxiety)
So yeah, I love the job, love it to death, but I dont love the blame that so freely gets tossed around.
Nah. I was priest in WoW, Mystic and Priest in Tera, WHM and scholar and RDM in FFXI for seven years. I'm passionate about it.Have you healed in other trinity-based MMOs? I get the impression you're a little green, which is completely cool if you are. If someone dies from things that are their own fault, let them know what it is. Tell them to check the battle log. If that's not enough, laugh at them for being terrible. Bad players that refuse to take responsibility are a dime a dozen, they really are. You'll run into them over and over. Seriously, don't let that screw with you.
The game also becomes way more fun when you take it out of duty finder and into FC/LS land.

There are legitimately bad healers out there, though. I've run into a few. The ones that are bad usually a.) have a really bad routine b.) contribute to attacking more than they do to healing or c.) they are inattentive.
