Inventory full, Loot abandoned

i hope someday u'r hardcore raiding and your item that you farmed 90 times before finnaly drops and it gets lost forever.

im pretty they make sure there is room in there bags. i always Always make sure i have room before any run. its not the games fault that you left your bags full and lost an iteam cuz of it deal with it and run it again its an mmo. and also you clearly can see your bags are full it even gives you a warning

I think it should give you the opportunity to drop something else in order to get the new item...that should not be hard for them to do. I do agree with the others though...you have to pay attention when it warns you that you are running low on inventory slots...The warnin has always kept me safe.

TBO, this is what you can expect every time you place a suggestion in general discussion. Try putting it in the specific game sub-forum, less childish trolls go there (since they don't care about the state of the games systems anyways). XI and XIV 1.0 both had the loot list for "oops forgot my inventory is full" situations, but they took it away. Not everyone knows or cares.

Yes you should check you bags and make sure your inventory has plenty of space before going about and adventuring, BUT, SE doesn't have to have the loot self-destruct, that's ridiculous. It is 100% a step backwards in gaming
if I can't rearrange my inventory to pick up a new piece of loot regardless of how many retainers I can employ.

it happened to me. nobody cared. it was just some green lvl50, wait, actually I think everybody passed on it and it got lost like that

No, you cant hire 3 retainers :/ And back in 1.0, they added overflow items to a loot list of yours that stayed for a while in case your inventory was full, up to 10 items in it. I haven't had the OP's problem, but they should have kept that anyways.

Can probably blame PS3 memory limitations for it being gone tho.

The didn't put overflow items in the loot list in 1.0
They put every item in the loot list, regardless if the inventory was full or not. At least in party play.
If you didn't put it from the loot list in your inventory and your inventory was full, the item also vanished after a short time or after you left the instance.

In XI, whenever you got loot when your inventory full, it will automatically goes into loot list for period of time before it's gone forever. At least it gives us some time to decide if we can ditch unimportant stuff.

A marvel from old system which I wonder why it doesn't carried over. :?

Seems like a lot of posters didn't play FFXI. You had a chance to make space in your gobbiebag if you had new loot and it was full.

I was surprised when my loot disappeared and didn't hang around for a couple of minutes like it did in FFXI. Thankfully, it wasn't anything important.
