    Inventory full, Loot abandoned

    Seriously? we're in 2013!

who thought it was a good idea as a game designer to decide that whenever u dont have inventory space, the loot ur trying to get is DESTROYED FOREVER!

it doesn't even stay on the chest for you to loot after you get inv space, no, it gets DESTROYED, FOREVER!

i was farming amdapor keep and on last boss my chest dropped and i won it and had inventory full so it said "Inventory full, loot abandoned" and the item chest, and the object chest on the floor disappeared forever.

    what the hell..

The game warns you when you start getting full, and there's a constant visual representation on-screen of how full your bags are.

^ This. Inventory management is your responsibility, not the game's.

Did you even read the op? Not asking for the game to manage the inventory, just asking that the game not destroy loot and instead let the player manage their inventory to make space for said loot. Not too much ask, really.

There is no such visual representation on-screen on the PS3 build (or IIRC the PC build with the controller interface). No UI setting to show it either. I have never had this issue (I manage my inventory often) but that nice UI element is sorely missed on the PS3.

Nuh uh! I turned that junk off the moment I got into the HUD settings. All hail screen real estate!

    (You are correct though :P)

This is not an excuse for poor design in a system. There's zero reason for loot to get destroyed if no one picks it up. This also happens if everyone passes on something the first time around, which is going to make loot distribution in raids a pain in the ass...

So you telling me if everybody passes the item is lost wow... Good thing nobody wanted it right lol. But seriously this game gives you one slot inventory, two retainers, the armory system, amoire chest whatever it is called, and a FC chest how much inventory is really needed I am a crafter I use both my retainer stuff I plan on selling and crafting I put in my first retainer gear, Special gearsets I collected from dungeons like Brayflox that I plan on using when I level another class or use once Vanity Slots come out I put in the other. There is no reason someone should be running out of inventory. I consider myself a hoarder and have plenty of space.

Edit: Just curious where do you suggest the loot go if everybody passes on it? If in doubt greed if you want it, if you pass you didnt want it. This is the same way in FFXI if everybody pass or your inventory if full and you win the loot, the loot is lost and its nobody fault but your own.
