    Game needs ways of introducing NEW money to the economy.

    Right now there's a sever lack of ways to introduce new money in to the economy. With players only getting around 250,000 Gil after finishing their story quests and side quests. There's really no other way of putting new money in to the economy.

    Leves/FATEs/Dungeons give very small amounts of Gil that immediately go towards repairing armor, even more so at end game when repair bills can get between 5000-10,000 Gil depending on how good your gear is, AF/Relic/Darklight.

    The pool of money a server has is based on the amount of new characters being made and is all being moved player hand to player hand via the Market Board which then gets a tax taken off of it, making the servers money pool even smaller.

    Sure you can level up that crafting/gathing profession and put stuff up for sale, but where do you think that money is coming from? It's coming from a players stash of 250,000 Gil. Eventually you're going to end up with a few players rolling in the cash with everyone else hording their last 20,000 Gil like a crack addict.

    There's way too many money sinks in this game and not enough money fountains introducing NEW money to the economy.


    I know they're trying to avoid over saturating the economy with Gil, which inflates the prices, causing a Bone Chip to go for 5000 Gil at some point. But right now....you're going to have an end game that no one is going to be able to afford to do unless they take up a gathering profession and VENDOR everything for 1,2,3,4 and 5 gil at a time which is a direction I don't think they want their crafting aspect of the game to go.

    I really hope they can find a balance between money sinks and money fountains other wise like i said, they'll have an awesome end game that no one can afford to do.

    I agree with you. I think the best way to do it though would be to drastically increase the vendor prices of everything, including basic mats you get as drops. As it stands right now they are too low to even be worth vendoring and with the prices in flux on the market board it's not even worth it to sell on there yet. Isn't it bad when a Lv. 49 axe sells for 179gil to a vendor? I can't even resell it and my only hope is to convert it to materia to hopefully get something that sells for a decent amount. It's ridiculous.

    I'm not into endgame yet (and this is in the wrong forum, besides), but what sort of materials are used in repairing the kinds of level 50 armor you've mentioned? I'm curious because those should (in theory) be cheaper to get repaired from a player rather than pay the vendor, which would eliminate a big cost of endgame. The second cost being teleporting, I imagine, but even that can be cut down by just using chocobos more often.

    I'm also kind of in awe of having a repair bill that high. Right now with good gear between levels 15 and 20, my repair bills for halfway worn equipment is a few hundred gil for plate armor. Does it really go up by such a large factor, or is that hyperbole?

    me DRG50 gets about a repair bill of 600-800 for each death it seems. I just want to be able to repair my gear without loosing money or having to level up a crafting or two(or even three..)

    Dunno how it's in the wrong forum, it's a suggestion to create more Money Fountains to generate new money in the economy.

    And to repair the gear yourself you have to use Darkmatter which isn't free. you have to buy that as well. Or use tomes to buy them.
