Character selection crash

Hey Tazila, maybe you read this. >_<
Now everytime I start FFXIV I need to manually delete the 'My Games' folder.. Do you have a clue what exactly is causing the crash?
I don't want to lose my keybinds every time T_T

going to go through all the files and figure out WHICH file in the My Games > FFXIV ARR folder is bad, I'll let you know what I find. <3

Okay hey so in (My Games > Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn > FFXIV_CHR004000174A42B50F) there is a file called CONTROL0.dat

Delete that file then start up FFXIV: ARR

Deleting that file seems to have fixed everything. Lemme know if that helps, Something though is corrupting it after log out/crashes it seems, but at least it's pinpointed down to that (for me at least).

Good luck I hope that helps! I don't know if it'll save your UI, but it'll save macros because macros are saved in the Macro.dat file in the same FFXIV_CHR<Numbers> folder. I started deleting one by one until I got to control so my UI reset, but hopefully yours saves if you just delete the CONTROL0.dat file. =]

Hmm. I don't know then, out of ideas if deleting the entire FFXIV ARR folder doesn't work. =[
