Would love to see your stance on "8man is not real content" if Avid won the race to coil.

Our raiders weren't racing to/through coil, but now that somebody created a progression thread they're getting a bit defensive about having to play catch-up.

We're not an 8-man guild and therefore gearing and fielding 24 is our priority. No one cares who kills 8 man content first.

Rightly or not, there was never much interest in racing 8-man progression. Most of us have negative opinions about how raid sizes have shrunk game-by-game over the past decade which was likely one reason why the 8-mans weren't emphasized. We like progressing as a guild and not as cliques, which is what small-scale content foments. If you were in the guild longer before jumping ship, you would have realized that.

We started doing scheduled progression content yesterday and I have no doubt our raiders will be back in the race by week's end. We're encouraged by the level of competition so far and hope it holds up in the post-release months.
