This usually means a wipe, but our healers noticed that the boss's stacked buff caps at 8, and they were able to keep me up for a bit before I'd get insta-gibbed.

So it was late, and we thought "Well... since we're probably going to call it soon anyways... lets make our WAR go BLM (he has almost full darklight plus relic on his BLM) and see if we can single tank this for SCIENCE!".

So that's what we did. One of our SCHs ended up graciously sitting out for a WHM, and a few attempts later, we managed to down him with just me tanking. It took a lot of cooldown management on everyone's part. We had 6 people rotating virus, we had the BRD do his debuff thing, we had healers rotate their abilities and whatnot. There were a LOT of times where I dipped into the triple (and probably even double) digit HPs. But, we did it.

I can have a vid of it tomorrow if ppl are interested.

The first time our FC did this fight I was there, but the other monk ran the boss around the room while range finished him off. It seem they had the same problem at the split and so when they came back together, the monk hit fist of wind and kited him till the killed him lol. I guess there's always a odd way to do things.
