Ao how often do you guys use a potion then to stay alive?
I run with a buddy of mine who is a healer, and myself as a tank. Almost never duty find. We just ask for dps in zone and roll. It seems people you find that way are less of tool bags then DF. Also if it works out, add them to the friend list for future runs. I am about to give up on lancer/dragoons. Love the class, but the player base is... oy.
I may have to do a tank/healer since DF takes up to an hour depending on what is being queued![]()
Increasing parties to 5, with 3 dps would help, but that brings in a whole load of technical issues and balancing issues.
If I queue alone as dps, I make sure to include all languages when I search (and join in progress if it's not a for a quest). It makes the queue faster, and I've hadn't had any issues. You'll probably want to read up on fights though, because chances of you asking the people in the group for help and them understanding you (vice versa) is slim.
Yup, I do queues for all languages. But DF I get in are either jp or eng speaking people, but mostly jp (considering I play on jp server). I start out with autotranslate saying hello, I don't speak any jp, please use autotranslate, thank you (using autotranslate). I asked what's the battle plan before boss fight. If they respond either in autotranslate or someone knows a little eng, I do what they say. If not, I go by experience since I have done them.
But DF takes up to an hour is bad as dps. I may have to turn to scholar and see how it does, but I spent tokens on summoner gearand I can't wear it as scholar.

I main BRD now, but I also have a 50 WAR. DF times suck after leveling WAR, but I almost always queue with a tank or healer so my DPS time is not bad as I tag along and kinda jump the dps line.
As a tank, I dont want to risk a bad healer or bad DPS, so I most often queue with a healer and sometimes a DPS also. At 50 atleast, many tanks will feel this way and do similar things and this will result in longer DPS queues, and healer queues also.
Point is, this is an MMO, join a FC, make friends, and play with them and don't rely on just the DF to get stuff done, the DF is there to help find others when you cant fill the hole group.

So they plainly said, the issue from 1 to 30 is a lack of tanks... not heals (maybe even 1 to 50). Why are tanks are to find? Because DPS are bad. I mean sure tanks are bad sometimes too, but I have yet to find a bad tank that I couldn't work with in a dungeon and I have used the duty finder for everything all the way up through Garuda now. The only thing that pisses me off, is when a tank breaks my CC on my sleep. But hey, if they aren't dying it really isn't a big deal.
Problem is, DPS don't attack the right targets. And during boss fights they DONT switch to adds. I have experienced it on both now being both a tank and a DPS. (My tank is only just starting in the dungeons, but like I said DPS has done up through Garuda). Unless your tank is absolutely trash (like just standing there or pointlessly running around in circles), work with them! Most importantly, be a better DPS, and stop pissing your tanks off, and maybe more would do it.

Majority of people just play DPS...for every dedicated Tank you have on a server, there are prolly 20 dedicated DDs...there is a simple reason for that.
Those people care more about putting out big numbers, than having actual responsibility in a fight. That's why so many DPS suck in Duty Finder...cause when they can't just stand still at one spot and hit their rotation buttons, they are overwhelmed. This is what makes the difference between good DDs and bad DDs...the good ones know how to deal damage AND have movement skills.
