Can't equip Soul of the Scholar

I am a level 50 arcanist and I chose to become a summoner, but I wanted to try scholar, so I leveled my conjurer to 15 and did the level 15 quest, went to the arcanist's guild and got the quest for the scholar, did the quest and got the "soul of the scholar" but when I try to equip it I get a message saying "cannot change job to scholar from arcanist. you must first switch your class to arcanist" but the thing is I unequiped the "soul of the summoner" so I am an arcanist but it's telling me to change to arcanist from arcanist which makes no sense

I would log out with your summoner stone unequipped. Might update properly that you have no job equipped. Also, do you have the Arcanist weapon equipped before trying to equip the scholar stone?

Just took a look at my weapon like you said and realized it was for ACN and SMN >.< so that's why it wouldn't let me do it
