AHHH there it is. I didnt even notice thos. Well you pretty much have to have a torret downloader to get them again.

For anyone wondering, it seems to me that "remote" connections are people you're downloading from, and "local" ones are people to whom you're uploading. Not entirely sure on this, but it would explain why when I have 0 "remote" and 18 "local" connections I'm stuck at 0 kb/s download, yet I'm uploading like there's no tomorrow, haha. Another example of SE's fine naming conventions.![]()
My patcher is now stuck on 90.7% and been there for a good 10 mins *sigh* :P 0kb download rate and yet a constant 200kb on uploads like blackrose stated above xD Well as long as it's done in 30 mins!!! o.<
Ooooh, that's where people are getting the torrents? I always thought they've been finding them online or something. Thanks man =)
Now that I could be bothered here is the exact email SE sent me, so I would be careful about talking about using Utorrent on here:
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.
We understand that the download of the new Final Fantasy XIV update is very slow and that you would like to use a 3rd party application to increase the download speeds.
Unfortunately, we have to affirm that a use of a 3rd party application or rather a torrent appication is prohibited and that a use of it will bring an account suspension if it is found out.
Best regards,
The SQUARE ENIX Support Centre Team

Its just how far SE go against 3rd party programs was sent a while ago 2nd dec to be exact, but there is no way for them to find out, its just people that talk about it on official forums that could get banned over it
They will never allow UI mods if they are THAT strict about it. All the man wanted to do was download the damn patch...
The patcher always works great for me. I have yet to have an issue with it and regardless of the size so far the longest I had to wait was 30mins.

yeah the only way they would actually find out is show up and your house and watch you or have a mailcious software the logs computer stuff while their program is not running. this, however, would be illegal and lead to legal actions. if anyone uses torrents i would advise against speaking about it on here due to the fact your se account is signed in on here and they could use it as a reason for a ban.
