Does the patcher suck for you all too, or is it just me?

And the task board lets u select a guild stationed in that city and lists the tasks available.

I'm goldsmith 13, so in uldah i selected the goldsmith guild and it listed the following:

The following tasks are available:
Deliver: 1 copper choker
Recommended Rank: 1

Deliver: 4 bone fish hooks
Recommended Rank: 10

Speed is still pretty slow in BitTorrent, but not even nearly as bad as with SE's patcher

From this, you are able to Torrent the file.

This is ALOT faster than the SE file downloader.

Once finished, copy the file and place somewhere safe. (ALWAYS back these up.

Then, make sure you replace THAT file in the C:[users]Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\patch

Edit: It is often best to "copy and replace". That hase never let me down, nor have I had negative feedback from it

I used to have problems with the patcher the first month of CE launch but haven't had any with the patches after that—up until this one. I've been downloading for about an hour now.

yeah as im getting higher(81%) ive noticed it speeding up, same as it always has

Gosh you guys missed the post about an E-Mail replay saying use of torret downloads is considered use of 3rd party software and can lead to account suspension. . . . .

What can we do? Are they really going to suspend our account because we want to play their game but their patcher sucks so bad it's not going to be done until tomorrow for just 300 odd MB?

Exactly what mine looks like, except it's at 5.2%. Ah well, all I wanted to do when I got on was to get my goldsmith class up to rank 20.

It's ridiculous. I always start trying to download the patch as soon as it's available BECAUSE I know it will take this long. It's going to be midnight before I get to mess with the things everyone else gets to that had been uploading from me. -. -
