I didn't really know where else to post this, this is a suggestion coupled with a little feedback about the game as a whole as well.
I kind of have a problem with how easy the solo content in the game is, SOLO content. I understand that the dungeons get harder, but what harm does it do to have something in the game that would allow those that would like some challenging solo content aside from the dungeons to enjoy themselves.
I suggest they add in a bounty board system, maybe like out of ffxii even. Basically you would take out a bounty on a notorious monster, etc. You would go to an area, go into a solo "instance" like some of the story missions, you would be level capped, and you could choose a difficulty, and you would fight a very difficult solo boss.
Depending on the difficulty you get more money or xp, maybe even have extremely low chance to drop items that are useful for whatever level the bounty leve is. These should take 3-6 leve allowances to take on one, so that they aren't really something you can do constantly. But they should award a large amount of xp, gil and seals as well.
This could be used at level cap too, with hard solo challenges that would award a small number of tombstone tokens for gear, seals, decent gil. It would be fun, and would allow you to see how powerful you are becoming as you obtain stronger equipment.
This would put in challenging optional solo content for those of us that want it. Potentially revive the notorious monsters from ffxi, if they implemented rare drops, which would work if they cost a large amount of leve allowances to take on a bounty. This could also be a new way to level other jobs after you are out of quests, alleviating some of the fate grinding. Also it could introduce more gil into the game.
This is just an idea, I would like to see this game become great. For me that means more challenging solo content, while I enjoy dungeons as well I like to have something challenging to do when I don't want to deal with other people.
Thanks.
