I wrote three sentences. Please read them before criticizing. In chronological order.

yoshi is not releasing as many big letters with what he plans on implementing because he is already failing to release the stuff he has already promised. at some point promises need to be shown in game or the letters lose their meaning anyways.

That's part of the point. It doesn't have to be lengthy eposes about the future. Just some heads up and reflection about what's currently going on.

One of his letters said he'd stop the letters altogether when the forums started functioning. Even so, the last letter was sent with the forums up. I guess he thought the community reps would be good enough.

I've got to admit, they're doing a good job. I've been surprised at details they've conveyed at some occasions. Still, I miss the letters.
