    Thanalan Sidequests inaccessible

I'm currently leveling a Thaumaturge, my primary class being Arcanist, and I'm finding that many of the sidequests in Thanalan are inaccessible to me. There were some around the Silver Bazaar and Scorpion Crossing, as well as two in Horizon. But that was all of them, and there were none in Central Thanalan at all. I know this isn't the case for characters that start in Ul'dah, but I'm wondering if this is a bug, if only because this very much was not the case leveling a Conjurer in Black Shroud. I seemed to have access to most or all sidequests there.

There are fewer quests available for a second class. Try doing your hunting logs or grinding fates.

You can only do a quest once, once it's been done, you can never do it again (and they'll never offer it again).

They probably did it this way so your first, maybe second class is faster to level, but subsequent ones will need more grinding (joining a fate party is quick and easy I find).

The only exception being levequests, although they'll cost you allowances each time you accept one.

I know that a) secondary classes don't get to do the story quests of classes that start in other cities and that b) you can only do a given quest once. However, even taking those into account the number of quests seems off to me. I have a similar number of quests completed in each city, somewhat over a dozen. I also have a fairly similar number of level 5-15 sidequests done in La Noscea and the Black Shroud. For each of them, spread across maybe three zones (lower, middle, western La Noscea and central, north, and east Black Shroud), perhaps 20-30 in total for each area. However, for Thanalan I have only 12, and I've done every one I can find. In addition not one was in Central Thanalan, the only sidequests I have done there are the material melding ones.

A lot of the side quests in each city state are gated by the story quests or run in tandem with the story quest. This means you can only have a bunch of side quests in the city state you start in and are extremely limited in what you have available in other city states. I find this odd considering the game encourages you to only have one character that does everything.

Personally I'd like to see one character being able to do all three city state stories and the quests that run in tandem. In LOTRO the three starting areas also funnel into the main story arc but you can go back and do those other starting area quests on one character.

You're actually not that limited in sidequests you can do, except apparently in Thanalan. I asked a friend who started in Ul'dah, and he had done 30 sidequests in Thanalan, and around 20 each in La Noscea and Black Shroud. I started in Limsa Lominsa, and did around 30 sidequests in La Noscea, and 20-ish in Black Shroud. But I only got 12 in Thanalan, and not a single one in Central Thanalan. I may be wrong, that may be the way it's supposed to be. But it just seems like an error of some sort.
