Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me. Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't comin' back. Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
My favorite is the ones where you fight the imperials. The Livia battle and so on.. it's so amazing.. It has THE final fantasy feel to it. Another one I loved was one of gridania's music, I can't remember which one.. Also the peaceful song in Ul'dah. Oh forgot to mention Garuda fight.. I can listen to the opening all day long
The music is pretty good, but I feel it's sometimes out of place and not very fitting to what's going on or the environment it's in. I think personally the best OST for any online game would have to be Everquest 2.
I disagree. Everquest 2 was boring in many places, and this whole game feels like a better version of that (and no, I'm not an FF fanboi or an SE White Knight - this is my personal unbiased opinion).
In all honesty, there's a good number of songs that make this game awesome, but they don't always play for very long. Haukke Manor anyone? We got Castlevania up in dis bish.
A personal opinion is not unbiased. There are very few similarities between EQ 2 and this game, the music styles are also very different, and for me the music in Everquest 2 is more enjoyable.I disagree. My only sin was including the two words together. And I guess you're right. I mean, none of EQ2 struck me as fascinating at the end of the day. Neither the characters, nor the areas or music. It was... very bland.
I can't help but feel the leve music nails the urgency and escalating unpredictability of them meself.
But fundamentally the games music is universally good and a major factor behind it's atmosphere.
(Disregard this post, I fail at reading the thread and noticing the exact song I posted is RIGHT ABOVE MY POST.)
