[PS3] Game lock ups/freezes.

Hi,

Recently I've had FFXIV freeze/lock up on me whilst playing. The first time it happened I was just questing and when I talked to an NPC the game froze. It was an unpopulated area and the system wasn't even hot. I simply reset the system using the power button and resumed play.

Today I was trying out some goldsmithing when my game froze again. I was just in the crafting screen, nothing out of the ordinary. I'm not entirely sure how long it's been since the game first froze but I'll guess about a week or so.

The odd thing is that both times I could still hear ambient noises (wind and whatnot).

My PS3 is a brand new 250gb super slim. I purchased it on the 21st of August, 3 days before early access. Other than those two freezes the game has run very smooth.

My question is if I should be concerned or not. I doubt that its my console or the consoles HDD considering I've only had it for about 2 weeks but who really knows. If its the game itself or if all PS3s do this then I don't really care and I'll just deal with it.

I basically want to know if my PS3 is faulty or not.
