    Even if you do get it working, you might encounter the problem I have. I play on a laptop with a low-end mobile radeon chip. It works, and i'm not even on lowest graphics, but as it is a toshiba laptop, i -have- to use the toshiba drivers - I can't use the latest amd drivers. As a result, I'm generations behind on drivers. The end result is frequent (but predictable) closing of FF14 because of a failure to detect direct-x device. It is playable for crafting, or chatting, but certainly not for combat.

    I'm not a genius (I'm actually REALLY dumb when it comes to hardware, and hardware interactions with software)... But I do believe there is a device called "Mobility Modifier" you should look into if you are limited to old drivers because of your OEM.
