Not if you should do more then just ride them. SE said the chocobos are not just to ride, if they are coming.

Hopefully it won't be that simple... What do you think the game is? A LEGO game? Retoric question, btw...
OT, I guess it's the promised patch since we were told it would contain that 30% from the original patch (1.17 being 70%). Maybe they are planning to release a 1.17b patch for fixes and 1.18 with content (Grand Companies) and battle system changes. Who knows^^

Tho, they do have a story to go with the lack of chocobos tho. Most of them are sick. So in the future (MAYBE 1.18) there may be a quest to render aid to a sick chocobo, and maybe even obtain ownership of aided chocobo.

someone explain me how few quests and a 3-d effect for formed party is worth the name of patch... I didn't expect chocobos or companies or whatever... just some serious stuff... some real improvement and don't tell me 3-d effects for parties are a priority xDDD

It's not a full patch, it's a 30% patch

How they get away with putting new content (more quests + a new questing system) in a "patch" I don't know....

I guess the problem it's fixing is lack of content. But are you kidding me, every two weeks is a patch. What's serious for you? More content is serious...we have an entire new content system that will let you do quests every day. The dailies might end up being sillies, but it's still a new mechanism for content.

I am the biggest advocate for change here, but yeah they did mention that this was to be a small patch. Basically the end piece of the last patch, so what we got is decent, BUT 1.18 is where we are suppose to see some REAL change battle system the biggest thing from what i've heard so far.

The next patch is a big one for me in determining rather to stay with XIV or not but i will say to this point i will give yoshida's team credit i think they are trying, I was being rather critical at 1st.
Clamed down, looked and thought ok yeah its a big project to step into, so been reading more and shooting a little less.

Battle system and additional classes rather it be advancements on current ones or new w/e thats what i am waiting for, I want to hold a katana again thats all =/ i'd pay 15+ a month to play as my favorite class again.
Atm i just dont feel the armory system has anything for my taste buds no matter what battle class i look at i cant make the type of hero i want to play so i just hope i can soon.
I dont even care if they choose not to call it a samurai lol shogun/ronin w/e they want its cool with me ^^;

I know classes wont come for a while so i'll just cross my fingers

But most of all, there was the buff already o.O Do we really need something telling us how many players we have in party? LoL I can count, I don't need a huge 3D effect to tell me if I'm in a light or a full party...
