Make Dungeons more worthwhile

There is no flaw, there is no MMO with a dungeon quuee system where DD get fast queues it is the simple fact that people usually do not play tanks or healers so if you want to fix this the only option is to get people to play tanks and healers or to make parties bigger to squeeze in more DD per dungeon.

And if people are so god awful impatient and lazy that they won't make their own party and leave because the queue isn't fast enough then I say mission accomplished we just weeded out some terrible person from the community.

Hmm.. I hate to bring up that "other game" but in their version of duty finder it takes about 10 minutes at most for a dps to get a queue for a dungeon. Having to wait more than an hour for dungeons that are also needed to progress your story further along to unlock certain things...I do not know how this is what SE intended for people. As to the second part of your post... I'm not sure why you would want anyone to leave no matter how terrible of a person you think they are. Them staying subbed means more money and success for SE. More money and success for SE means more content for you, churned out at a faster rate.

Duty Finder doesn't come up with the wacky party set ups that work, only the most traditional setup.

Perhaps Duty Finder should have the option to seek a group for a variety of party set ups

2. Classes only
3. Jobs only
4. Free for all

I've seen posts on reddit where parties are having their carbuncle tank dungeons so I don't see why not basically.

Even if what you suggested worked it still doesn't change the fact that there is a fundamental flaw with the system when it is this hard to find dungeons in the duty finder. I doubt that when SE created the duty finder they wanted people to wait possibly over an hour to find a dungeon with it. Something has to be done or it may turn away newcomers. There are a lot of impatient people whose first thought would not be to try to form their own group in server, rather... they would get angry and possibly think about unsubbing because of it. That is my main concern.

So what your saying is that people will get angry for putting themselves in a line? Man really is an evil creature, lol! On a serious note, the Duty Finder lets you remotely access a dungeon with a party set up… Seems to me that this is the way it was meant to function. If I'm right and you get in faster than the duty finder allows you it just means that you have a great server community everyone should depend more on.

During that time, you can use shout to find people or find friends to help you. Even guildies.

You're only at copperbell. Honestly, take a few hours and level a Conjurer or a tank class. Keep it on par with your favorite class so you can get into story instances instantly.
There are MANY more instanced fights to come in the storyline. Suck it up now, and you'll be helping a party of other people stuck in line while helping yourself. I have a lv50 DRG from 1.0 but I'm running through story on a GLD/PLD because it'd be hell getting into instances otherwise, plus I'll have a good role available when I unlock endgame again.

I should say though, that I agree there need to be more classes that can queue as healer. Either that or the duty finder needs to be more flexible.

No.

People who will tank, will tank. People who heal, will heal. The problem isn't the ratio of classes, it's how people feel about the roles. If anyone dies, it's the tank's fault. If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault. The tank always has to perform at a level equal-to/above everyone else in the group. You can't casually eat dinner while tanking without some slippage, and these things hit hard enough that slippage must be corrected fast.

The bottleneck in the design is the 4 man party size.

i am running low lvl dungeons on my Scolar and my Eos or Selena is the main tank(if the tank does not know what to do) or i just end up pulling everything and tanking it.

the duty finder should have the potion to queue as scholar(healer, DPS or support) and summoner(dps and tank?) specaly for low lvls were class does matter much just as long you have a healer and a Tank
also you should be requerd to lvl slower because the way its now its to fast. pull more ppl to Dungeons and you have solved the Tank/Healer problem short of.

you should check the option "join party in progress" and select all languages. although sometimes you will find out why the party is missing a member...
