Third Party Music

Hey guys,

Just wondering if I can get an OFFICIAL word (that means noone that THINKS they know what the answer is, but is just guessing) on whether or not we can use third party music in our YouTube videos / streams yet?

I know they've recently allowed monetization for YouTube, but have they allowed third party music yet?

The TOS is very vague, and since the monetization thing was lifted, I assumed this would have been too.

Any dev could possibly answer please?

Guidelines for Music and Sounds

You may only use music as it is incorporated in FFXIV;
When showing gameplay, you may not replace the FFXIV music with third party music;
You may not play FFXIV music alone (i.e., without accompanying gameplay footage), or with third party materials;

I actually wanted to point this out @ that titan kill video I saw, but left it alone... I think it's retarded that they put that in there, since they didn't have any kind of guidelines or regulations during 1.0, and I don't think XI has anything of the sort either, nor ANY other MMO out there.

• I cannot put FF14 music in the intro OR outro of my videos - because the original footage doesn't accompany it.
• I cannot put my own third party music on top of the footage I record.
• I cannot chop up the game sound / music - and because I cannot edit the video without chopping the audio, I can't upload it.

^ Stupid.

You made the decision to allow monetization on YouTube (shouldn't have even been an option) and you need to make the decision to remove this stuff from your TOS. It's silly.
