What Does the Level by your class when you save a gearset mean?

It confuses me, I have essentially the exact same gear as a friend of mine for our blm's but I'm lvl 60 and his is barely above 50.

When you save a gear set it puts down the level of your class when you first saved that gear set. If you want to increase the level of that set as you go you'll need to manually change the name of the set to update the level; you will also need to save over the old set as you acquire new gear.

It's the level of your current weapon.

Yes, it's the level of that current weapon of that class. So even if you are 15 if your weapon is 12 it will say lvl 12.

Gearset 'Level' shows the Level of the Set's Primary Weapon/Tool.

My Monk is level 55 when I save the gearset and relic weapons are level 80 I think.
